In EDU 364 we constructed an "All About Me" project on the website Prezi, which we later presented to introduce ourselves to future employers or students. All of the classmates got creative with this use of technology depicting their life story. Prezi differs from PowerPoint in that it is a web-based program that allows you to create more of a canvas presentation instead of a sequential slide presentation. I think Prezi is a beneficial way to get information across through visuals at all ages. For example, as an elementary education teacher Prezi would be great to create timelines when learning dates of history. It would also be beneficial during the first week of school. Students could present about hobbies, interest and family members like we did in class. This will allow discussion and students will become engaged in one another's interest. It will satisfy the ISTE Standard 3, Knowledge Constructor. Students will be explaining their knowledge on a specific topic, whether it be about themselves, history dates or another subject. Then they will be required to present it to the class, which helps expand other students knowledge about the subject being taught at hand.
